Sfumato Espresso Flip


We love the smoky-tart Amaro Sfumato in this drink but it could also be subbed out for many other Amari that you might have to hand. This one is a perfectly balanced treat for sipping after dinner. Cheers!

Shaken  |  Cocktail Glass |  Egg Yolk  |  Lemon Peel

Step 1:
Jigger into your shaking tin:

  • 1.5 oz Diplomatico Riserva Rum
  • .75 oz Amaro Sfumato
  • .5 oz Demerara Syrup
  • .75 oz freshly pulled espresso
  • 1 egg yolk

Step 2:
Dry Shake all ingredients vigorously until egg yolk is fully incorporated into the rest of the liquid. Add ice and shake again.

Step 3:
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Step 4:
Use a y-peeler to cut a thick strip of lemon peel. Squeeze the peel, shiny side out, over the top of your drink. Twist and set on top of the glass.

Step 5:
Kick back after a filling meal and let this bitter, rich, sweet after-dinner cocktail settle you in for the night.
