Vieux Carre


Part Old Fashioned par Sazerac, the Vieux Carre has famously been sipped since the 1930's. Started in New Orleans and now around the world.

Stirred  |  Old Fashioned Glass  |  King Cube Ice  |  Orange Peel

Step 1:
Pour into your mixing glass:

  • 1oz Highwest Double Rye
  • 1oz Hennessy VSOP Cognac
  • 1oz Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth
  • .25oz Benedictine
  • 2 Dash Miracle Mile Orange Bitters
  • 1 Dash Dr. Adam's Dead Rabbit Orinoco Bitters

Step 2:
Add ice to your mixing glass and stir for 20 seconds

Step 3:
Strain into an Old Fashioned glass over a King Cube Ice

Step 4:
Using a "Y" peeler, cut a thick slice of orange peel and trim to your liking.

Step 5:
This well balanced treasure will quickly send you back to the Monteleone Hotel where the cocktail was invented by Walter Bergeron.
