When you think about Kahlua there's only one thing that comes to mind....THE DUDE! Well, that's only our opinion but other amazing cocktails have been crafted with Kahlua as well...for example a Mudslide, Revolver, and B-52. All of these recipes can be found online and if you check back soon, they will be featured in our Recipe section.
Growing up, my grandfather use to make chocolate syrup with Kahlua that he poured all over our vanilla ice cream. A simple recipe in fact that included 1 Tablespoon Hershey's Chocolate Powder to 1 Teaspoon of Kahlua. He continued to mix the two ingredients together until he liked the consistency and flavor. Try it, its better than anything you can buy in the store. If you want to go crazy, add some coffee or espresso to it.
Now back to what we came here for...over the holiday's I was asked by a friends uncle to make something with Kahlua outside of a White Russian. I looked at their liquor, inside their pantry, and then I came up with this little concoction with what they had.
- 1oz Vodka (they had Grey Goose)
- 1oz Kahlua
- 1oz Chocolate Sauce (Hershey's)
I heated up the chocolate sauce to thin it out then poured into the cup the Vodka, Kahlua, and ice. Stirred everything for 20 seconds then strained into a Rocks Glass over a Sphere and added a couple of drops of Miracle Mile Chocolate Chili Bitters.
I wish I had a picture for you but I will be making this again very soon and will post it on all of our feeds. For now, try it and show us what you came up with!
